Raiders Adaptation!

We are so excited about Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation.

This fantastic fan film, a scene-by-scene remake of the famous movie by Steven Spielberg, was made by a bunch of kids (Chris Stompolos, Eric Zala and Jayson Lamb) over several years in the 1980s. It is a testament to the love of film, and the creativity of artists everywhere. It may also be a nod to the willingness of parents to let their kids do what they love, even when there may be dangerous consequences (drag someone under a truck? snakes and fire in the basement? ok??).

RIP Burt Reynolds

RIP Burt. Most people know his big movies but everyone on earth also needs to see the utterly fantastic Breaking In (1989) with him and Casey Siesmaszko doing a small town crime comedy featuring a screenplay by John Sayles and directed by Bill Forsyth. Burt is also the proud owner of the best blackjack sequence in cinema history in the 1986 film, Heat. Its so great.
